Brent is an active, busy professional in his mid 40s. He first came to Solaj in 2014 when he was having pain in both of his elbows, triggered by his weight lifting routine. The pain had persisted for over eight months, and it was starting to impact his daily life. He had difficulty gripping and lifting items that were just a few pounds (like a frying pan with food). Shaking hands became uncomfortable (yet very important for his client-focused career). All of these are common symptoms for lateral epicondylitis – often called tennis elbow. And he couldn’t sleep through the night without elbow pain disrupting his sleep. He was also very concerned that he wouldn’t be able to golf, his favorite summer sport, in the upcoming season.

When Brent came to Solaj and had his first assessment with Doctor Mel, his elbows were quite tender to touch. He also had significant pain with muscle stress tests. Doctor Mel recommended Cold Laser Therapy for each of his elbows, starting with three treatments per week for two weeks.
Cold Laser Therapy for Lateral Epicondylitis Pain
After Brent’s third treatment session, he no longer had pain in his left elbow. That was surprisingly fast for his condition (typically it can take anywhere from 10 to 15 treatments for elbow pain to significantly improve). He was thrilled, and decided to stop treatment on his left elbow. His right elbow had also shown improvement, but wasn’t yet pain free when working out. Quite likely because it was his dominant arm.
With further treatments, Brent’s right elbow continued to improve, and after nine treatments over a four week period, his pain had resolved completely. He was able to grip and lift a frying pan, shake his client’s hands, and lift weights without any discomfort.
I am a man in his mid-40’s with a fairly high activity level and I know I don’t heal like I used to. I was first introduced to Solaj and Dr. Mel’s services in 2014 when I was looking for an alternative approach to elbow tendonitis due to over activity in the gym.
Their assessment and treatment with cold laser therapy accelerated the healing without slowing me down. I can definitely say that I am fully healed from the injury.
Given past results, Solaj was top of mind when I recently developed some discomfort around my knees while training for a half-marathon. The injury was assessed and treatment was applied using cold laser therapy while training continued. After finishing treatment, I noted a significant reduction in discomfort when running.Although the results speak for itself, the overall experience from the Solaj team will keep me coming back. I have recommended and will continue to recommend the service to anyone who may be in need. Thanks for keeping me moving!
