Our Physiotherapist will then recommend a treatment plan that aims to meet your physical goals while maintaining your lifestyle.

First Assessment

Your first physiotherapy appointment will include an assessment approximately 45 minutes in length. During this time, the Physiotherapist will ask questions about your condition and health history. Depending on your condition, specific physical tests and measurements may be taken. These tests are typically used to document your flexibility and range of motion before treatment starts.

The Physiotherapist will then discuss the various options available for your condition. Special attention will be taken to educate you about your condition. Your goals and functional needs are an important part of the assessment process. Discussing your goals and expectations with the Physiotherapist will help to customize a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle and that aims to meet your physical goals. There will also be an opportunity for you to address any questions and concerns that you may have.

Physiotherapy Treatment Technique: Postural Correction

Once you have decided to begin physiotherapy, each treatment will be approximately 30 minutes in length. Treatments are typically recommended once or twice a week for the first few weeks. The time between your treatments will gradually increase as your condition improves. The goal of treatment is to improve your condition to a point where you can independently manage it yourself (typically with exercises and/or stretching).
