Cold Laser Therapy in Dr. Norman Doidge book: “The Brain’s Way of Healing”

Cold Laser Therapy has been featured prominently in a recently published book “The Brain’s Way of Healing” by Norman Doidge, a medical doctor and psychiatrist, who previously authored the 2007 best-seller “The Brain That Changes Itself”.

Chapter 4, “Rewiring a Brain with Light”, is dedicated to explaining the current state of medical research into light therapy for a variety of conditions in general and then focusing specifically on light therapy helping to heal the brain. Doidge describes the findings of several doctors who have discovered extraordinary successes using light therapy to treat patients with brain injuries. Remarkable results included dramatically decreased severe headaches, brain fog and fatigue, as well as restored balance, memory, vision and hearing. Doidge also describes his research on the progress of using light therapy to alter the effects of conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injuries, strokes, depression, arthritis, injuries to the musculoskeletal system, and skin conditions such as eczema.

Doidge also specifically mentions the experiences and history of Dr. Kahn, the creator of the BioFlex Laser Therapy system that we use here at Solaj. While Dr. Kahn is well known for his work using light energy to heal injuries, arthritis, and wounds, his work with the brain is much less publicized. Doidge spent some time shadowing Dr. Kahn at his clinic in Toronto, where he was able to experience first hand, patients receiving life changing results from Cold Laser Therapy treatments.
